Free Consultation
We can meet at any time, in person or by phone, to talk about what my role is and what your expectations are.
Phone & Email Support
I am available through email, a phone call, or a text message at any time to answer your questions or help you work through your concerns.
Pregnancy
I offer you support during your pregnancy, validating your feelings, and fears, answering your questions, and helping you find information ans answers so you can make the decisions you need to make during this time.
Birth
I am present with you throughout your labor, at whatever point you wish for me to be there, and remain with you through your baby's birth. I offer you information, comfort measures, and support throughout the entire birth.
As a Doula, I Do Not:
Perform any clinical tasks
I will work respectfully and professionally with your care providers and help you communicate your wishes with them.
The Welcoming
I stay with you as you welcome your baby into the world, honoring his or her birth and life. I help you make and gather memories of your baby with photos, videos, and deciding what mementos you want to have to remember your baby.
The Farewell
I stay with you as you say farewell to your baby, honoring his or her life and the impact he or she has had on you and your loved ones. I help you create and carry out a ritual or ceremony to honor your child's life as you say good-bye.
The Healing Journey
II help you begin to find your way to healing, meeting with you after the birth and farewell to help you begin your healing journey, finding ways to continue to honor your baby's life and death.
Make decisions for you
I will provide information and resources for you, help create a space and time for you to evaluate and discuss your decisions, and thus confidently make your own decisions.
Speak to the staff on your behalf
I will help you find your voice and speak for yourself, gently reminding you of your wishes and asking if you want to consider other options.
Project any of my own beliefs onto your experience
This is YOUR birth and YOUR story. This is YOUR journey. This is your baby's life, and your baby's farewell. I will support whatever choices you make, and help you uphold your wishes and desires.
Community Referrals
I will make referrals to outside resources in the community at your request or when necessary, helping you make the transition to more specialized help or care when necessary.
