Free Consultation
I will meet with you to get to know each other and discuss your desires and wishes for your birth. I will provide you with referrals to other doulas, so you can find the one who is the best fit for you.
Phone & Email Support
I am available through email, a phone call, or a text message at any time to answer your questions or help you work through your concerns.
2 Prenatal Visits
Once you decide to work wtih me, I will meet with you at least twice to get to know each other better, go over your birth plan, and work out the details of what you want from me.
Professional Information
While I do not make decisions for you, I will provide you with information and resources to confidently make your own decisions for your pregnancy, your birth, and your baby.
During Labor
I will meet you at your home or the hospital at the point you are ready to have me there, and will remain with you throughout your entire labor and birth, no matter how long it takes.
As a Doula, I Do Not:
Perform any clinical tasks
I will work respectfully and professionally with your care providers and help you communicate your wishes with them.
Make decisions for you
I will provide information and resources for you, help create a space and time for you to evaluate and discuss your decisions, and thus confidently make your own decisions.
Baby’s First Feeding Support
Whether you decide to bottle feed or breastfeed, I will help you establish and feel comfortable with feeding. I will provide referrals for lactation consultation when necessary.
Speak to the staff on your behalf
I will help you find your voice and speak for yourself, gently reminding you of your wishes and asking if you want to consider other options.
Postpartum Follow-Up Visit
I will meet with you at least one time after your baby is born to check in with you, answer any questions you may have, make referrals, and transition to the end of our professional relationship.
Project any of my own beliefs onto your experience
This is YOUR birth and YOUR story. I will support whatever choices you make, and help you uphold your wishes and desires.
Community Referrals
I will make referrals to outside resources in the community at your request or when necessary, helping you make the transition to more specialized help or care when necessary.
