Free Consultation
We can meet at any time, in person or by phone, to talk about what my role is, what your expectations are, and for you to share your story.
Phone & Email Support
I am available through email, a phone call, or a text message at any time to answer your questions or help you work through your concerns.
Pregnancy
I offer you support during your pregnancy, validating your feelings, and fears, answering your questions, and helping you find information ans answers so you can make the decisions you need to make for your child.
As a Doula, I Do Not:
Birth
I am present with you throughout your labor, at whatever point you wish for me to be there, and remain with you through your baby's birth. I offer you information, comfort measures, and support throughout the entire birth.
The Meeting
I stay with you as you meet and welcome your baby into the world, to help you meet and bond with your child, and to make sure your hopes and desires for this time are met.
Perform any clinical tasks
I will work respectfully and professionally with your care providers and help you communicate your wishes with them.
Make decisions for you
I will provide information and resources for you, help create a space and time for you to evaluate and discuss your decisions, and thus confidently make your own decisions. I will remain a neutral, supportive presence, no matter what choices you make.
The Transition
I stay with you and support you as you make the transition from your family, to your chosen family, supporting when and how you decide to make this transition, and honoring your choices in this.
Speak to the staff on your behalf
I will help you find your voice and speak for yourself, gently reminding you of your wishes and asking if you want to consider other options.
The Healing Journey
II help you begin to find your way to healing, meeting with you after the birth and transition to help you begin your healing journey, finding ways to continue to honor your baby's life, new family, and memory, whatever type of adoption you choose.
Project any of my own beliefs onto your experience
This is YOUR birth and YOUR story. This is YOUR journey. This is your baby's life, and your baby's transition. I will support whatever choices you make, and help you uphold your wishes and desires.
Community Referrals
I will make referrals to outside resources in the community at your request or when necessary, helping you make the transition to more specialized help or care when necessary.
